Our Heritage of Appraisal Excellence
The Appraisal Institute is a global professional association of real estate appraisers, with nearly 20,000 members in almost 60 countries throughout the world. Its mission is to advance professionalism and ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices through the professional development of property economics worldwide. Organized in 1932, the Appraisal Institute advocates equal opportunity and nondiscrimination in the appraisal profession. Individuals of the Appraisal Institute may hold the prestigious MAI, SRPA, SRA, AI-GRS, and AI-RRS designations.
The Hawaii Chapter
The Hawaii Chapter of the Appraisal Institute has 80 Designated Members and 43 Candidates for Designation and Practicing Affiliates. Our membership consists of appraisers and appraisal-related professionals from the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, and Kauai, within the state of Hawaii; Guam, an unincorporated territory of the United States; and Saipan, capital of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
